I am here with IOCC in Houston to do two weeks of relief work as necessary. I hope to talk to you soon, but as your blog says, you have been spared the worst. We surveyed the churches in Galveston yesterday with Fr. Serge of the Serbian Church and it was messy. His church sustained some floor damage due to water but we moved to get the carpets out and dry. His parish hall, however was flooded to about two feet and is mostly lost. Assumption GOC was inundated to about five feet deep and is in need of a complete gutting. We saved what could be saved. they are on the ball and will have folks there to preserve the structure soon, God willing. My contact number is 907-360-4603. Greetings to you from our parish, Fr.
